Dr. Timothy Quill, M.D.


Is an American physician specializing in palliative care at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, New York. He is also a board member of the Death with Dignity National Center in Portland, Oregon. In 2013, the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine included Quill on a list of “Hospice and Palliative Medicine Visionaries”.


Dr. Susan MacDonald


Dr. MacDonald started her career in health care as a public health nurse before going into medicine. She completed two fellowships in Palliative Care; one with Dr Euardo Bruera and Dr Robin Fainsinger in Edmonton, and the other at Harvard with Dr Andy Billings. She’s worked in St. John’s Newfoundland as a palliative care consultant for the last 17 years. Currently she’s the President of the Canadian Society of Palliative Care Physicians. Her research focuses on the use of electronic media for remote symptom management. In her spare time she is a novelist.
